Sales Engineer East

As a member of the sales team in NY/NJ, the Sales Engineer will provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to Thinstall’s customers and partners. The candidate should be adept at handling complex technical situations with no supervision and providing top-level customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Understand and document customer’s requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Provide technical presentations to customers and partners.
  • Assess customer’s application and assist in the virtullization process
  • Provide analysis and hands-on assistance in the installation and configuration
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and work with Engineering and QA to resolve them.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in performing a technical customer-facing role.
  • 2+ years of experience in software packaging and deployment in a Windows environment.
  • Prior experience as a systems administrator/engineer preferred
  • Experience in installation, configuration and maintenance Windows applicaitons in a corporate Environent
  • Familiarity and understanding of scripting methodologies – primarily batch and/or VB scripts.
  • Application virtualization and packaging experience – Softgrid, SVS, MSI’s, Installshield and/or Wyse Packaging Studio.
  • Familiarity with VMware products – Primarily Workstation
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong sense of customer commitment.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate and educate customers about complex technology.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to deliver product presentations and demonstrations.
