Description

Thinstall has an immediate need for someone with great Win32 debugging / forensics skills and a deep understanding of Win32.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  •  Analyze problems found by our testing department and customers
  •  Diagnose the source of issues
  •  Develop solutions for resolving the problem
  •   Implement new OS functionality as needed to run applications
  •  Provide engineering support for customers and partners

 

Requirements

  •  Experience debugging, and analysis of applications at assembly level
  •  Experience using the majority of Windows API functions (files, registry, processes, dlls, GUI, etc).
  •  C/C++ programmer with a minimum of 5 years experience (personal or professional)
  •  Experience with the x86 assembly, CPU architecture, registers, stack and low level internals
  •  Experience writing and debugging mutli-threaded applications
  •  Team player, ability to and interest in communicating with customers, good written and verbal communication skills are a must

 

Misc

Previous work on Wine, ReactOS, or the Windows Kernel are very big pluses.

Thinstall was aquired by VMWare in 2008.

The ideal candidate would be willing to move to San Francisco, CA.  Telecommuting from other countries or states is also ok for the right person.
